Create Your Own Audiobook!
We love creating mobile book trailers for authors, but just as much, we love helping authors with all their digital media needs. We recently jumped into the world of audiobook production for authors and have developed a production system that allows authors to create their own audiobooks without the any investment in their own gear or booking expensive studios.

With our turnkey equipment package and a little training any author can now quickly record their own audiobook and then deliver their files to our seasoned production team for editing and final ACX preparation and delivery. How It Works

Technical Setup
If an author is going to record their own narration, we need to get them set up with the right gear. We have a turnkey equipment package that we send out to our authors on loan that will enable them to record in their own home. All that is required of the author is the willingness to learn, and a quiet space to record in. Closets work great! We will conduct a few quick coaching sessions on how to use the gear and record a quality narration. Then it's off to the recording races! Note that if the author already has their own audio equipment and can generate high-quality recordings, we can work with that too.

Recording
Here is where the real work begins. In the solitude of their own recording space, the author sits down with a digital version of the book, all paragraphs marked, and records each section. Once happy, the author then uploads their finished raw recorded files to the Moblio team for editing.

Editing
This is where we work our magic, eliminating all mistakes, obscure pauses and random artifacts, loud breaths, and then dial in the timing and rhythm. During this phase we will identify any paragraphs that need to be recorded, and submit those requests. The author records the rereads and submits them back to our team, where we perform a final edit, ready for sweetening and ACX preparation.

Mastering (Final Sweetening, ACX Preparation and File Delivery)
During this phase we tweak the final files to perfection, eliminating any unwanted room and file noise, adding EQ where necessary, and prepare the files so they meet ACX specifications. We then deliver the final files to the author, ready for ACX submission and publishing!

Publishing
The author submits their files to ACX, a marketplace where authors can upload their files and publish their audiobook to retailers such as Amazon, iTunes, Audible and more. It is a wonderful service, easy to use, where in little time an author can publish their audiobook for all the world to hear.

"Suddenly Terminal" In March of 2022 author Sharon Dawson published her first book, "Suddenly Terminal," a story about her personal journey with cancer. Ever the bold one, Sharon decided to take on the task of recording her own audiobook, and she turned to us for help. We were happy to roll up our sleeves and do what we could. We worked with her to get her studio set up and then developed a system that efficiently allowed her to record her raw takes in her own studio and pass them on to us for editing, sweetening and final ACX development. Pricing
While each audiobook read is unique, on average every 9,500 words should equal about one hour of recorded work. We offer two packages. Package A includes our turnkey audio package that we loan to the author until the project is completed. Package B is for authors who already have their own audio equipment that generate high-quality recordings (subject to our approval). We have no hidden fees or "extra" hours charged.

* Minimum three finished hours. If the final finished project is less than three hours, we will charge an additional $100 equipment rental fee for our equipment package.
** Our price per finished hour assumes the author delivers relatively clean files with only minor re-reads needed (two revisions per chapter).
