PENN VALLEY, CA - A new mobile video startup for authors, moblio.io, launched online today. A video production agency, moblio.io creates book trailers specifically designed for the social media mobile space. That means vertical formats, fully captioned, short, and uniquely branded, delivering a highly engaging viewing experience in multiple mobile formats.
"Video is changing so rapidly today in our mobile world," states moblio.io founder Doug Broomfield. "With no set standards across all the social media sites and the need for multiple video formats, we wanted to develop a service that could create mobile video content optimized for each social media platform, creating the best video experience for our clients across all the social media sites, doing it all with professional copywriters and seasoned editors who understand the art of great storytelling."
Picking a vertical, Broomfield's group decided to first focus on the literary market. "As we developed our mobile video product, we thought 'why not book trailers?' Books are prime candidates for a visual story and our caption-based storytelling approach seemed a perfect fit for authors," says Broomfield. "So we grabbed a few books and started experimenting. In no time we realized we had a compelling product and started to reach out to published authors. The few we connected with responded favorably, and we were off to the races."
moblio.io, a mobile-first company, originally started off as a text-to-video conversion service, converting online news articles to short text-captioned videos. Though still a service that moblio.io provides, along with blog and other article conversions, as well as captioned company promos, personal stories and listicle videos, the company's primary focus is currently on the book publishing industry. Using high resolution stock assets, moblio.io uses its streamlined system to produce mobile video content in a matter of hours, and at an affordable price that can fit any budget. “It is one of the rare times where a customer gets all three in a product - good, fast, and affordable,” according to Broomfield.
"Be it a social media ad, organic post, part of an author's media kit, or just a fun piece of content for an author to share with their followers/readers, a moblio.io mobile book trailer really does have the opportunity to move the needle for an author in the social media space, and inevitably not only get more eyeballs on their books, but help build their brand," Broomfield concludes. "We like to think of it as a book's calling card."
"I'd like to thank the authors who were willing to journey with us as we developed our service,” states Broomfield. “In particular, Maria Adolphs ("Gathering of the Tribe"), Diana Orgain ("A Bundle of Trouble"), Steve Giblin ("Walking in Mud") and especially Pete Vanek ("Karen Way"), Katie Cross ("Miss Mabel's School for Girls" and "The High Priestess"), and Jesse Wiegers. They have been, and continue to be, invaluable to moblio.io as we work to create a product that is second-to-none in the marketplace. Also, a special thank you to the good people at AllSides.com. Our entire business would not exist if it were not for the very first text-to-video conversion pieces we created for them in the Spring of 2021.”
